Convide Winter Colloquium 2025

From 19-21 November 2025, the whole Convide team assembled for our annual Winter Colloquium in the Senate Hall of KIT's impressive Presidial Building. This year, we were particularly honored to welcome our distinguished Advisory Board members: Betty H.C. Cheng (Michigan State), Gabor Karsai (Vanderbilt), Jean-Marc Jézéquel (Rennes), Bernhard Rumpe (Aachen), and Dr. Clemens Reichmann (Vector). We thank them for the insights that they provided over the course of the three days. Their feedback will proof invaluable in shaping the future of our work.

Among the day’s highlights were the outstanding keynotes from our international experts:

Prof. Betty H. C. Cheng explored her group's multidisciplinary approach to assuring learning-enabled autonomous systems, providing insight into her internationally recognized research over the last decades.

Prof. Jean-Marc Jézéquel gave on overview of the field of digital twin engineering and sketched out current and future challenges that a large-scale research project in France aims to tackle in the coming years.

The program also featured Research Area presentations and interactive poster sessions, creating spaces for exchange, inspiration, and constructive discussions.

A special moment for our team was the Welcome Address by Prof. Oliver Kraft, Vice President for Research at KIT and one of the most fervent supporters of our work, setting the tone for an evening of dialogue and forward-looking ideas.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to making the Winter Colloquium a success!
