Workshop: Hybrid Project Management

Project management skills are essential for successful doctoral research, helping researchers to bring structure to their workdays, to define realistic goals and timelines, to evaluate their progress, and to make effective changes if necessary. In short: Mastering these skills enables junior researchers to successfully complete their doctorate.

The two-day workshop will combine methods from traditional and agile project management schools, teaching participants what they need to learn in order for them to be successful and become future leaders in academia and industry.

Trainer: Dr. Jan Schmidt is a freelance trainer with experience in personnel development and science management. In his work, he focuses on the needs of young researchers and provides workshops in and for universities all over Germany. Since 2013, he is heading the Münster University Graduate Center.
